Using Gardenist

Gardenist is a platform for gardeners to track plants, share knowledge, and exchange seeds. By creating an account you agree to these terms. You must be 13 or older to use Gardenist.

Your content

You own the content you create — garden records, journal entries, photos, and discussions. By uploading content you grant Gardenist a non-exclusive license to display and serve that content as part of operating the platform. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not sell it.

You are responsible for the content you post. Don't upload content that is unlawful, harassing, or that you don't have the right to share.

Seed exchange

The seed exchange is a community feature to facilitate trades between members. Gardenist does not guarantee the quality or viability of seeds listed, and is not a party to any exchange between members. Follow your local regulations regarding seed import and export.

Account security

Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Service availability

We aim to keep Gardenist running reliably, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We are not liable for data loss, though we maintain backups and work to keep your data safe.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll notify you by email or with a notice in the app before material changes take effect. Continued use after changes are effective constitutes acceptance.
